Warning signs of problem gambling

  • Betting more than you can afford to lose
  • Chasing losses with bigger bets
  • Lying about how much you bet
  • Borrowing money to gamble
  • Missing work, school or family time to bet
  • Feeling restless or anxious when not betting

Tools available at every Colorado sportsbook

Every licensed Colorado sportsbook is required to offer responsible-gambling controls inside the app. You can typically set these directly under Account → Responsible Gaming:

  • Deposit limits; daily, weekly, or monthly caps
  • Wager limits; caps on individual bet size
  • Loss limits; auto-block once net losses hit a threshold
  • Time limits; caps on session length
  • Cool-off period; temporary self-exclusion (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days)
  • Permanent self-exclusion; close the account and block re-registration

Colorado statewide self-exclusion

The Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission maintains a voluntary self-exclusion list that, once enrolled, blocks you from every licensed sportsbook and casino in the state. Enrollment is free, runs for 1 year, 5 years or lifetime, and is administered by the Colorado Division of Gaming.

Help for friends and family

If a friend or family member is struggling with gambling, the same helplines above offer support and counseling for loved ones. Gam-Anon Family Groups (gam-anon.org) provides peer support specifically for families affected by problem gambling.

Must be 21+ and physically located in Colorado to bet legally.
